Why are people ungrateful when I try and help? When I honestly mean well?

Tammy ... you are a true sweetheart !!! Yes people get rude, and it's hard to know why, but it's not you dear. Thank you for helping others ! The world needs a lot more caring people like you ! BIG HUG !!! When a utility doesn't respond to reports properly, contact the state utility commission and file a formal complaint. In some states it's called the Public Utility Commission. They'll get the utility to correct their faults. As far as people in general not being thankful, or being just plain rude, well people have a lot of attitude problems, and get irritable and cranky, and "bite the hand that feeds them" syndrome so to speak.
