The Perfect Fit?

Especially for the gentlemen (age does not matter) but also women, please feel free to respond. A little background about me. I'm in my early 40s, single parent of teenager, a career woman and a student again. I was married once a long time ago and said never again until I knew I had found the "Perfect Fit" (whatever that meant?). Anyway, I've never remarried and have had plenty of both good and bad relationships. I have avoided what I have always feared: becoming bitter and not having any hope regarding relationships. I have also learned that maybe our idea of the "Perfect Fit" isn't all that perfect. Simply because none of us are perfect. My last relationship ended amiacably but I am a little saddened. He was 35 and never married. He wouldn't acknowledge but we meshed in many areas and enjoyed each others company. There was also chemistry. The areas we didn't quite fit I believed we could work out. He did not. Do you believe all areas of a couple has to be a perfect fit?
