Texas instruments plus u2-x1130 projector?

when pressing the power on, the power light comes on and so does the fan, but the bulb does not. after it runs for a while, the light goes to the red status light, then turns off. we have tried unplugging the cord from the projector and from the wall. how do we fix this? if possible.
