Illegal immigration into australia.?

what other countries in the world have trouble with illegal immigrants.i know the us has trouble with mexicans.i know in singapore you never see a policeman,they are guarding there waterways and shoot at illegal boats trying to enter.now australia has real problems we have well over 2000 illegals already on australian shores.we have a very weak government who houses these people.gives them money and food,some have demanded cell phones and received them.these people are from iraq,iran,sri- lanka and Afghanistann.what are we to do with these people.they are taking government houses from australians who have been on a housing list for years.i am not at all prejudices but i think if they do want to immigrate they should do it through the proper channels.it is costing them 30-40 thousand dollars to get here on old junks supplied by crooked indonesians.what do we,can we do to stop this situation fromoccurringg.there is another boat load on the way at the moment.any suggestions
